Organisations and charities

It's a sad state of affairs that so many people in this country rely on charties to lead a normal life.  There are so many organisations that are set up to help that is impossible to have heard about all of them.

Whenever I find out about one I will post about it on the VWS and post a link so you can check them out for yourselves.

I'll also let you know of any fundraising events I heard of.

Charities - general:
  • Action for Blind People
Action for Blind People is one of the largest charities in the UK providing free and confidential support for blind and partially sighted people in all aspects of their lives.
  • Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB)
Charity with three main priorities: stopping people losing their sight unnecessarily, supporting blind and partially sighted people to live independently and creating an inclusive society.

Charities - specific conditions and additional disabilities
Charities - equipment and specific help

Charities - regional
